Public Hearing Preparation for Williams NESE Pipeline

  • Knights of Columbus 333 Beach 90th Street Far Rockaway, NY, 11693 United States (map)

Join us on Monday, April 9th at 7pm to prepare comments to oppose the Williams NESE Pipeline.

The Williams Company has proposed a 23 mile fracked gas pipeline for our shores. The Federal Agency overseeing the approval of this pipeline is holding a public hearing to respond to Williams' Draft Environmental Impact Statement (or DEIS).

It is our responsibility to show up at this hearing to oppose it. However, we want to be on point with our allotted 3 minutes to speak. The DEIS is over 800 pages. Join us as we present key areas of the DEIS to focus on and formulate our comments pertaining to the DEIS. It is imperative we build the public record of opposition, even though this crooked federal agency called FERC (Federal Energy Regulatory Commission), approves 99.9% of the pipelines that come across their desk since that is how their funding is generated. (It's a crooked system, we know. We've been working to change that for years, and are not going to give up.)

There are a number of reasons to oppose this pipeline. It is bad for our health, it is bad for local jobs, and we don't even need it! Our Risk For Their Profit.
