On Monday, Sane Energy joined our allies at Beyond Extreme Energy in Washington D.C. for the Crack FERC Open action where two bamboo 15 foot tall “fracked gas drilling rigs” with protesters locked inside were set up to blockade the entrance in front of the Federal Regulatory Energy Commission (FERC) building to prevent business as usual to operate.
Right now, community solar projects throughout New York are being hurt by the State's complicated pricing scheme called VDER, shutting everyday New Yorkers out of the market. If we don’t act quickly, New York could lose billions of dollars worth of solar project investment and jobs in the solar energy sector.

We have three specific demands: halt of all fracking infrastructure now, a just transition to 100 percent renewables, and make corporate polluters pay into a transition fund.
